Mahila B.Ed. college, Silar, Aurangabad is established in the year 2006. Recognizing the importance of teachers training institute for imparting quality training to teachers of Secondary Schools in the jurisiditionc of Mahila B.Ed. College, Aurangabad a new facility was constructed. It was provided with necessary infrastructure where classes are running smoothly and NCTE has permission for making hundred students per session for admission.

Here welcomes to you in Mahila Mahavidyalaya, a splendid temple of learning. I have the pleasure to announce that Mahila B.Ed. College, Silar, Aurangabad (Bihar) is introducing Two year regular Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)Course from session 2015-17. Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Silar, Aurangabad (Bihar) established in the year 2006. Mahila B.Ed. College is the third women’s B.Ed. College of Bihar. Approved by Govt. of Bihar, Recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Govt. of India and Affiliated to Shree Nathibai Damodar Thackersey (SNDT) Women’s University, Mumbai. The University has national Jurisdiction and can affiliate institution from all over India and open for foreing affiliation. This is one of the first University to be acreditated with five stars status by NAAC for quality and standard in education. Mahila B.Ed. SNDT Women’s University is the first Women’s university in India as well as in South-East Asia. The University was founded by Maharshi Dr. Dhondo Keshav Karve in 1916 for a noble cause of Women’s Education. The first five women graduated in 1921 from this University. The University Headquarters is in Churchgate Campus, Mumbai and the other two campuses of this University are at Juhu, Mumbai and Karve Road, Pune. In a century old existence, the university has grown into a multidisciplinary institution hosting diverse professional, technical and liberal arts programmes from K12 to PhD. SNDTWU is probably one such university where there is Nursery school as laboratory for Human Development Department, Centres for Women's Studies, Inclusion and Exclusion, Distance Education, andhas affiliated institutions for doctoral programmes. Unlike most university's in the country which have to have state jurisdiction, SNDTWU is unique in terms of jurisdiction. SNDTWU can affiliate colleges/institutions anywhere in India with prior consent from the State Government. SNDT Women's University stands 32nd amongst multi-disciplinary universities of India and ranked fourth in Western India according to the Week-Hansa Research ranking of 2020.
